Awesome Cruiser!!!!

By Mark(Owner), Mar. 22, 2009

I traded my 05 v-star 1100 for an '08 v-star 1300 and all I can say is WOW!! What a diference in power! This 1300 kicks butt! Liquid cooled and fuel injected there is no lack of power on this thing for two people. I was looking for a cruiser with performance/power and I found it. What I dont lik... e about it is the lean angle on the 1300 is the same as the 1100. Also, Im a little on the shorter side and the handlebars are a slight reach for me. Other then that, this bike is great. You can get one new for around 10k which means there is no better bang for your buck then the V-Star 1300. Read Full Review

V Star 1300 Tourer ... a great SMART choice !!!

By kbRider(Owner), Sep. 5, 2008

You have to RIDE this bike to appreciate what is can do . Handling, cornering, and especially gearing exceeds that of it's smaller but popular V star 650 & 1100 family members. This machine can perform .

Great for around town riding but wait until you get this bike on the highway .

That is w... hen it really starts to show it's strong side . Smooth !
Most riders will prefer a handlebar change for more pull back comfort .
Highly recommended !!!!

kick ass bike

bike handle great around town and outstanding on the highway.moved to chicago 3 years ago for work from iowa. use this bike to go home to visit friends and famiy all summer long. rides like a dream on highway. 6 hrs round trip to iowa and back. also went to little sturgis in sturgis kentucky in july... . 12 hr round trip plus 3 days of riding through shanendoah national forest. beautiful area. only complaint is that front springs are to soft and clank when going over a decent bump. talked to dealer and didnt get any where with them unfortunatly. oh well should be an easy enough swap on a saturday afternoon. once again this is a great bike for fit finsh and quality. put almost 4000 mi. on between may and october and no mechanical problems besides the springs. and that is really just an annoyance. i would recommend this bike to anyone. tobey - chicago il Read Full Review

Wind buffeting

By Bob K(Enthusiast), Jul. 18, 2010

To be fair to yama, as well as other manufactures it needs to be pointed out that excessive buffeting is fairly common among many bikes and can be easily eliminated by installing air deflectors on the forks (they are commonly called "lowers") for maybe $100 out of pocket... Read Full Review
